KBIS 2019 with Designhounds by Modenus was such an incredible experience. It’s always fun to see friends, meet designers from around the globe, and learn the newest and greatest in kitchen and bath. Follow along as I recap the action-packed days I spent with our wonderful sponsors.
After arriving in Las Vegas, I spent Monday evening at the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) Awards and the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) opening party. Hearing the career successes of the Hall of Fame inductees, and seeing the amazing designs of the Design Competition winners was truly inspiring. With the awards presented, a party kicked-off the start to KBIS 2019. It was quite the party, with people literally hanging from the chandeliers.
Tuesday started with an early morning welcome before a meeting with sponsor, Lamps Plus. Did you know that the “plus” represents the many products offered in addition to lighting? Furniture and decor are available online or in stores. Lamps Plus is now your one stop shop for all your decorating needs.
Wellborn Cabinet, Inc.
Wellborn exhibited gorgeous displays of their cabinetry at KBIS. My personal favorites were the French Bistro, and the Industrial Loft. The French Bistro, a contemporary take on the traditional French cafe, showcased the new Lexington door style, along with new paint color, Oyster White. The Industrial Loft displayed their newest stain, Suede, and paint color, Mink. Both kitchens displayed custom features available through the ‘YouDrawIt” program.
With a retro-fabulous display, Thermador presented its newest appliances and features. Now, with Home Connect, individuals can manage their Thermador appliances remotely. Pre-heat your oven, get notified if the refrigerator door is open, set the temperature on the wine column, or start the coffee maker before getting out of bed. With Thermador and Home Connect, you can have an exceptional culinary experience.
Our evening spent at The New American Home with Caesarstone was quite an experience. The newest quartz offerings from the Metropolitan Collection were introduced by living sculptures against the Vegas skyline. The collection features 5 new designs inspired by industry and manufacturing. The rest of the evening was spent exploring how and where Caesarstone was used throughout the rest of the house, and discovering the remaining living sculptures throughout. We definitely went beyond the surface.
Wednesday morning started with an off-site breakfast hosted by Mr. Steam, at French Bistro, Bouchon. Mr. Steam offers steambaths for the home. Steambathing offers over 40 benefits. Benefits include respiratory and holistic health, physical health, and just overall well-being. Now, you no longer have to make a trip to the health spa for a good steam. Add Mr. Steam to an existing residential shower for ongoing wellness.
Thompson Traders is known for their gorgeous copper fittings, handmade in Mexico. The Oaxaca Collection features their new matte black. I am completely smitten. The Escondido Vanity displays the new finish beautifully. I can’t wait to find the perfect project for this sexy finish.
Thank you Modenus and Designhounds for such a wonderful experience. I look forward to using my new knowledge, and specifying these great products on upcoming projects.
